A Ministry to Church Leadership and the Family

Chris and Brenda Edmunds were traveling around New Hampshire in 1972 with Evangelist Wade Akins when the subject of what to build on a certain piece of land came up. The unlikely spot was a 55-acre tract in New Durham.

It was hilly, ledge covered, the pond had a muddy bottom, and there was no road through the property. So the site choice looked highly unlikely, if not downright foolhardy.

But God had definitely given Chris a vision to use this land for a camp that would strengthen and encourage the families and leadership of local churches.

Today, 36 years later, we can testify that God has miraculously provided for this ministry time and again through His people working together, and that He has touched thousands of lives, young and old, through it. We pray as we continue to serve Him in faith in the ministry of Camp Maranatha, that we may exhibit a living testimony of our prayer-answering God.

April 9, 2009: We invite you to take a few minutes on our new website to learn about the programs and ministry of Camp Maranatha available through our website. The easiest place to start is to view our video introduction. And be sure to enjoy the many photos on our fun new online photo slideshow! Our website is being expanded regularly with more information and photos, so please check back again soon!
