Family Vacation I

Click here for the registration form

June 28 - July 3, 2010

For the most rewarding vacation!

All roads lead to a delightful relaxing family vacation week at Maranatha. Leave daily pressures and stress at home and focus on fun and spiritual growth with your family. Children enjoy having Dad uninterrupted and Moms rejoice in all those good meals they didn't have to prepare. Teens flourish in this environment.

Our program is designed to free up your vacation days to be spent with your family actually doing your favorite activities. Grandparents are welcome to join their families.

Here's a vacation where you can do as little or as much as you want at Maranatha! Our daily schedule is structured just enough, but not too much. Enjoy a good book, explore the pond by canoe or rowboat, climb a mountain, swim or relax in the warm sun while the children swim at Miracle Pond.

We encourage registrants to come with their entire family whenever possible and stay for the whole program.

Speakers

Adults and Youth: Mr. & Mrs. Ron Sargent

Ages 3 - 7: The Merritt Family

Arrival / Departure

Arrive: 11:00 am, Monday

Depart: 10:30 am, Saturday

"Growing Closer Together" is our theme for these vacation opportunities. You can invest your family vacation time in making happy memories while learning to make your family even more successful. Each family will have its own table for the week in our dining room. Come and leave the cooking and dishes behind and enjoy being served. Register now for a vacation with a purpose! Grandparents and single-parent families are welcome. These weeks are family centered and open to families and their immediate relatives. Due to the size of this ministry and the growing popularity of this program, we must limit each church group to four families per session.

Everyone will work on scripture memorization at their own pace. We'll also have an emphasis on family devotions.

Housing

In addition to our cabins, there are areas for tents and campers. We also
offer campsites with full hook-ups (30 amp electric service, water and sewer) for
your tent or RV in a beautiful wooded area.

Meals

All meals and snacks are included. We serve a wide variety of foods to meet all tastes at three buffets a day. You'll be able to special order eggs, etc. at breakfast. To make your morning more relaxed breakfast is now served from 7:30 - 8:30 am.

Cost

In order to make this tremendous week available to anyone, we're charging $460.00. registration fee per family. (This fee covers approximately half of the cost for the average family.) Then at week's end, you'll have an opportunity to contribute to a free-will, non-pressure offering to help cover
expenses.

Teaching Sessions

Young people will learn right along side their parents during these practical sessions. We encourage all to take notes and ask questions.

MORNING

Our relaxed morning schedule includes a 7:30 - 8:30 hearty breakfast followed by a practical Bible study. You'll find these studies especially helpful including a time for questions and answers. Note: we provide baby care during these sessions. We also offer optional short project times i.e. cleaning, raking, etc.

AFTERNOONS

Afternoons are free for family times together. You may rest, visit with another family, swim, go fishing, canoeing, kayaking or row boating. You can even try out one of our pedal cars. There are several places to enjoy nearby including two mountains to hike, a large fish hatchery and a cedar forest. Within a half hour traveling distance are some of New Hampshire's inviting vacation activities. Lake Winnipesaukee is just 10 minutes away. We will pack you a lunch if you will be away.

EVENING

Our evening Bible Study immediately follows supper to make an early evening for your children. This gives teens and adults time to enjoy other activities. We offer a number of other evening activities including Nature Night Walks, a talent show, and a music program. One evening we'll have a dress-up dinner.

HIS CLUB-For 3-7 year olds

We know that basically, if your children are happy and well taken care of, then you'll be happy! Younger children 3-7 years old always leave here with glowing reports of how they enjoyed the "His Club" meetings. These are offered during the a.m. and p.m. Bible studies. We'll do our best to help you care for those under age 3. His Club is offered as an option. Those families wishing to keep their children with them are welcome to do so.

Dress Code

We ask that each guest dress modestly.
